Hawai’i English Language Program (HELP)은 일찍 1971 년부터 이미 아카데미 영어, 그리고 교사 연수 과정 프로그램을 제공하고 있습니다. 현재까지 40년이 넘는 기간 동안 전 세계의 수많은 학생들이 HELP에서 공부했으며 이를 발판으로, 많은 학부 및 대학교에 입학 허가를 받았습니다. 하와이대학교-마노아를 비롯한 일부 학교에서는 이 곳에서 학생들에게 조건부 입학을 허가하기도 합니다. HELP는 교수법 설계에 대한 혁신적인 접근법을 가지고 운영합니다. HELP의 커리큘럼은 학생들이 하와이 또는 다른 곳의 미국 고등 교육 기관에서 성공하기 위해 필요한 언어적 능력, 비판적인 사고 능력, 문화적 기술을 고루 갖추도록 도와주며 교육합니다. 또한 영어과목의 교사를 하고 있는 전임교사나 단기 교사 등을 위해 수준 높은 교사연수 워크샵을 운영하고 있으며 이 과적을 통해 CELTA 자격증과정을 연 4회 운여하고 있기도 합니다. 초급부터 고급 수준까지 매우 다양한 학생들에게 다 맞추어 수업할 수 있는 HELP에서 여러분의 목표달성을 위해 도와드립니다.

Nestled on the slopes of Diamond Head along the southern shores of Oahu, Kapi’olani Community College is conveniently located minutes away from world-famous Waikiki Beach and is one of 10 campuses in the University of Hawai’i system. Kapi’olani is a two-year accredited educational institution offering associate degrees and certificates in more than 22 fields, including specialties in Culinary Arts, Travel & Tourism and Hospitality Management, Business Education, Health Science, New Media Arts, Information Technology, STEM and Liberal Arts. With a major emphasis on international education, Kapi’olani serves over 700 international students from more than 40 countries and over 8,000 total students. As a comprehensive community college, Kapi’olani has many programming strengths, including programs in English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). The Maui Language Institute (MLI) is an English as a Second Language (ESL) program that is part of UHMC. MLI is designed to engage international and local students with English language instruction for academic purposes and for professional advancement. MLI offers an array of unique English learning opportunities. Regular Programs offer individuals intensive 6- and 8-week courses. Custom Programs offer organizations customized training for groups. Services offered to MLI students include placement, orientation, and counseling for academic, cultural, and personal purposes. Students have full use of the UH Maui College facilities including the library, The Learning Center, student health center, and computer labs. Students are given email accounts and are welcome to participate in campus activities and clubs.
