Hawai‘i Community College is two-year community college located on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, a quiet, friendly, safe town that allows international student to learn in a beautiful, cultural diverse environment. The college is based in Hilo with a new branch campus in Kona named Hawai'i Community College – Pālamanui that opened in 2015. As one of 10 campuses in the University of Hawai‘i system, Hawai‘i Community College offers 26 degree and certificate programs that prepare students to succeed in the workforce right after graduation or continue their studies at a four-year college or university. Hawai‘i Community College blends hands on learning and classroom study to give students an excellent academic experience. Hawai‘i Community College has an Intensive English Program (IEP) for students who need English support. Hawaii Tokai International College (HTIC) is a fully accredited, two-year college that accepts students from all over the world. Our students learn in a multicultural environment that promotes cross-cultural understanding and awareness. HTIC offers an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts, with certificate programs in Hospitality and Tourism, Peace Studies, and a Discover East Asia study abroad program. Students who are non-native speakers of English have a chance to hone their English language skills in our College Preparatory (academic ESL) program before joining the Liberal Arts degree program. Our programs operate on a quarter system with four 10-week terms per year. Upon enrolling in the Liberal Arts Program, students can earn their associate degrees in as few as five terms (15 months).
